How Parents Can Help - Numeracy

Early numeracy is about noticing and exploring numbers, shapes, and patterns in your child’s everyday world. You can help by counting steps as you walk, sorting laundry by colour, playing simple board games, or talking about shapes you see at the park. These small, playful moments help your child build number sense, problem-solving skills, and confidence with math in a way that feels fun and connected. The goal is to show your child that math is part of life and that it can be enjoyable to discover together.
