Scholarships Information
AWARDS:
Brooks Grade 12 Major Awards include the Max Cameron award, Herb Marion award, and Pauline Galinski award. Specific criteria are used to select winners and each award comes with a financial scholarship. Nominations for each award will be released in March-April 2025, and will be available here on the school website.
LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
Each year, Graduates can apply for local scholarships and bursaries. Over 40 different organizations give out over $50,000 to qSD graduating students to financially support their post-secondary goals. A general Scholarship package is completed, but some organizations require specific criteria to be eligible. We recommend that all graduates complete a general application if they are pursuing any kind of post-secondary program (both Trades and Academic).

INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
Graduates applying for post-secondary programs may be eligible for an entrance scholarship upon acceptance to an Institution. These entrance scholarships are typically applied to a student's first year tuition. Major entrance scholarships can be renewable each year if a minimum GPA is maintained. These major scholarships can range from $20,000 up to $80,000. When applying to specific University programs students should investigate the types of entrance scholarships available.
PROVINCIAL AND NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
Graduates applying for post-secondary programs may be eligible for a Provincial or National Scholarship. These scholarships require a specific application and typically have a set of criteria that need to be met. There are many scholarships available to students, so we encourage all students to do some investigating and see what is out there!
