Career Achievement Centre

The Career Achievement Centre offers six week training sessions to adult students. The course is meant to enhance employability skills and provide valuable training that can be applied to the workplace. The course is designed as a holistic model that combines essential skills, pre-employment training and personal development designed to meet the needs of Sliammon community members.

Each course includes the following:

TOWES (test of workplace essential skills) Assessments
Return to Work Plan
Essential Skills Training
Pre-Employment Skills Training
Certification Courses (WHMIS, First Aid etc.)
Personal Development
VIU Career Planning
Job Coaching
Career Counseling

The Career Achievement Centre at Ahms Tah Ow School is funded by First Nations Employment Society (FNES) in partnership with SD 47(Powell River) and Sliammon First Nation.
