Registration


Admission Requirements

  • Students 16 years of age and older are eligible to apply.
  • Students must make a commitment to attend

Application Process

Students currently enrolled in the school system:

  1. An Ahms Tah Ow referral form is completed with a school counselor and signed by an administrator from applicant's current high school.
  2. An Ahms Tah Ow application form is obtained from Ahms Tah Ow and a student must participate in an interview with Ahms Tah Ow staff. Ideally, the student should be accompanied by their parent/guardian.
  3. A screening committee will determine suitability of individual student placement at Ahms Tah Ow.
  4. Once accepted, students will develop a Personal Learning Plan describing their personal learning and behaviour goals.
  5. A Performance Contract may be required, and will be decided on a personal basis

Note: Students who are currently suspended under school district policy will not be permitted to register at Ahms Tah Ow.

Students out of school (withdrawn) for a minimum of 3 months:

  1. An Ahms Tah Ow application form is completed and a student must participate in an interview process.
  2. An English/Math assessment may be required to determine grade placement and possible upgrading.
  3. A Screening Committee will determine suitability of student placement at Ahms Tah Ow.
  4. Once accepted, students will develop a Personal Learning Plan describing their personal learning and behaviour goals.
  5. A Performance Contract may be required, and will be decided on a personal basis
