Powell River Digital Film Program (SD47 program Sem 2 full time)
The Powell River Digital Film School offers comprehensive, hands on understanding of the world of film making. There has never been a more exciting time to gain entry into this thriving field. With the substantial growth of the independent film industry, digital film making and the increase in specially channels and support for student works, there are countless opportunities in this demanding industry.
Students in the program will receive the following credits, although there are additional options if needed as Fridays are off:
- Digital Film and Television 12
- Graphic Production 12
- Digital Media Development 12
- Directing and Script Development 12
- Career Life Connections - if required for grad
Coast Mountain Academy (SD47 Program Sem 2 full time)
The Coast Mountain Academy is an enriched outdoor education program which focuses on character development through Leadership, Citizenship and Outdoor Adventure! The academy offers students a unique opportunity to obtain skills and certifications that prepare them for their future careers and studies. At this time there are no dual credit opportunities tied to this program.
Students in the program will receive the following credits, although there are additional options if needed as Mondays are off:
- Outdoor Education 11 or 12
- Leadership 11 or 12
- Tourism 11 or 12
- Art Studios 11 or 12
- Career Life Connections 12 (if needed for grad)
