English Language Learning Immersion
English Language Learning is a mandatory course for first year international students.
Introduction to English Language and Culture, English Language Development, Canadian Studies, and Experience Canada and Community are the ELL courses offered giving students options in choosing the appropriate English Language courses for their English development. In addition to ELL courses students will also take courses from academic and elective courses. Powell River’s unique English immersion program features local excursions and community awareness opportunities which assists students in fully developing their knowledge of Canadian life while enhancing their proficiency in speaking English.
