The Great Big Crunch: qSD Makes Noise for Nutrition

Big Crunch

Today is the Great Big Crunch! This annual event promotes healthy eating and food literacy by encouraging people to take a synchronized bite of a crisp apple or another crunchy snack. It also raises awareness about the importance of nutritious, locally sourced food.

This year, K-12 students across qathet School District joined the coast-to-coast event, enjoying a great big bite of crunchy snacks like carrots, apples, peas, celery, and pickles—provided by the district. A big thank you to the Powell River Firefighters, who support the district’s school food programs, for joining in the fun and helping distribute the snacks. The Great Big Crunch was a Great Big Success!šŸ„•
