French Immersion Registration for the 2025/2026 School Year is Open!

Priority will be given to applicants who apply before February 28th. If registration limits are reached, a lottery process will be initiated in March.  

French Immersion is an educational program that provides students, whose first language is not French, the opportunity to become bilingual. Many students start the program in Kindergarten with little or no French language bases. This is achieved by providing instruction of BC Ministry of Education curriculum mostly or entirely in French during the primary years (K-3). Early French Immersion in qathet School District begins in Kindergarten at James Thomson Elementary.
