District PD Day

Today’s district PD Day, hosted at Brooks Secondary, was a full day of learning, connection, and inspiration. The day began with an engaging keynote presentation by Dr. Leyton Schnellert on the importance of welcoming and fostering student voice and agency in classrooms. Following the keynote, staff had the opportunity to participate in a wide range of workshops led by local and guest speakers. 

Sessions included:

  • Improving Student Storytelling Skills
  • Using Breathwork to Support Well-Being and Classroom Staff
  • Creating a Gender-Inclusive School Culture

  • Sexual Health Curriculum
  • Numeracy Collaboration
  • Technology Tools for Teacher Efficiency, 
  • and many more! 

A big thank you to the Brooks Culinary Arts students and Chef Connor Knickerbocker for the amazing lunch, and to the entire PD team for organizing such a fantastic day of learning.
