K/Grade 1 ʔayʔaǰuθəm Immersion Program Celebrates a Year of Learning

K/Grade 1 students in the qaymɩxʷqɛnəmšt [qay-mixw qeh-numsht] ʔayʔaǰuθəm Immersion program shared their learning during a spring celebration this week at t̓išosəm (Tla’amin Nation). 

Students performed four songs, received certificates recognizing the completion of their year or program, and gifted hand drawn cards to guests in the audience. 

A special thank you to the Tla’amin Nation Education Department and staff, the qSD Indigenous Education team, and Tla’amin Nation Elders for their ongoing collaboration in supporting the čičuy and helping revitalize the ʔayʔaǰuθəm language.
