Kindergarten Registration FAQs for Families

Is your child entering Kindergarten this fall? Here are a few common questions being asked:

Q: When will parents be notified/welcomed by their schools?

A: If you enroll ‘in catchment’ prior to March 31st, your registration is acknowledged by email upon submission. If you enroll ‘out of catchment’ prior to March 31st, your child will be considered, subject to space availability, and we will confirm school no later than May 31st.  

Q: When will bus pass registration begin/close?

A: Historically, bus pass registrations opened in early May and closed mid-June. Please follow our social channels and visit sd47.bc.ca for updates, as the exact dates have not yet been confirmed.

Q: Where do I register?

A: Registrations may be done online at any time. Detailed registration information, including videos, can be found on our School Registration page.
