Student Accident Insurance
Accidents can happen anytime, so it’s important to make sure your student is covered. Families are encouraged to consider getting student accident insurance to help with medical costs in case of an emergency or unexpected injury.

qathet School District does not provide insurance for student injuries that occur on school grounds or during school activities. However, families can purchase coverage through Insure My Kids or any provider of their choice. Check out their 2025-2026 School Term Program brochure for more information.
The plans are voluntary but if you are interested in purchasing a plan for your student, enrolment can be done online.
Depending on the plan you choose, coverage may include:
- Out-of-Province Emergency Medical & Other Travel Benefits
- Total & Permanent Disability
- Loss of Limb/Loss of Sight, Hearing or Speech
- Accidental Death
- Unlimited Accidental Dental
- Tutoring
- Paramedical
- Fracture/Dislocation
Annual plans range from $17 (Silver), $25 (Gold), to $33 (Platinum), offering 24/7 coverage for a full year, whether at school or home. Compare the 3 different plans here!
