qathet Play & Connect: Early Years Developmental Series

qathet Play and Connect’s first event happened yesterday, October 30th, at the Townsite Public Market! 

This early years developmental series is a collaboration among local organizations and community agencies connected to early childhood development, with partners participating as they are available. Yesterday’s event was hosted in partnership with qathet School District, Inclusion Powell River, Tla’amin Nation, Youth & Family Powell River, and the Powell River Public Library.

The series gives families a chance to meet qathet community’s incredible team of Early Years experts, facilitators, and supports, while the little ones (aged 0-5 years) explore the ORCA BUS, take part in qSD’s Strong Start Go early learning program, make crafts, and have fun with new friends!

More qathet Play and Connect events are on the way, and we encourage families to come out, connect with other parents and caregivers, and enjoy these fun, snack-filled, and free community gatherings!
