Continuing Education

qathet School District works collaboratively with Vancouver Island University to offer adult students courses to upgrade skills, improve literacy and numeracy skills, complete a high school diploma, or meet prerequisites for post-secondary programs.

The goal of the program is to offer a flexible environment that enables adult students the opportunity to reach their educational goals.

Our flexible and personalized approach to learning allows students to complete courses in a way that best fits their needs: self-paced , structured classes, online, or face-to-face. Students have access to individualized help and support, as well as career planning.

Student Learning Plan

Each student meets with qathet School District/VIU staff to create a Student Learning Plan (SLP). The SLP outlines the student's goals, progress made, and intended learning for the year. Each SLP is driven by learner goals, passions, and choice and is informed by BC Curriculum and/or Post-Secondary Institute (PSI) program requirements . This is a working document that can change and evolve as the year progresses.

Brooks Secondary School, Room D127, Monday - Thursday from 3:30 - 5:30pm
